This is a private blog whose foundation and core interest is the establishment of an Mthwakazi/ Matabeleland appropriate human, social, political and economic infrastructure. We embrace literacy as the factor that would narrow down the gap between our people’s dreams and achievement; we publish high quality articles whose objective is aim to inform the Mthwakazi public on both historical and current economic, political and policy issues of relevance to the region with the intention of preparing the region for the future.

Through our extensive research network we explore why the postcolonial Zimbabwe as a political entity has failed Mthwakazi. We bring to the public attention those pertinent social, political and economic policy issues that deliberately or inadvertently disadvantage Mthwakazi but favour other regions of Zimbabwe.

Also central to our work is the protection of human rights, liberties and freedoms of all Mthwakazi citizens; in that respect we challenge all retrogressive policies that threaten or continue to retard the development and empowerment of our society.

The website identifies Zimbabwean state systems and institutions as tribal and highlights the negative effects of these systems and institutions to Mthwakazi and its people. Crucially, we do not want to create a victim mentality among Mthwakazi people; in its characteristic progressive approach, the website advances alternative progressive political systems, institutions and policies that we believe will better address Mthwakazi’s needs.

While we are confident in our ability to inform and educate the public, we are not arrogant to believe we are the only source; just as some of our ideas have grown as responses or critiques of contributions by others, we believe from our contributions will be birthed more ideas, thus we are only one of many sources of information. We strongly encourage readers to visit other like-minded websites to broaden their scope of knowledge and understanding of Mthwakazi issues.

Understandably, separating emotions from facts can be difficult but we commit to maintain a high level of objectivity in our research for and write-up of articles. In our desire to maintain objectivity and protect the Mthwakazi nation, we do not intend to be a mouthpiece of any organised political movement in Mthwakazi; by extension, we are not aligned to any political organisation, but will scrutinise every organisation’s policies and conduct as best as we can for the public benefit.
